Luke Begley finished his undergraduate degree in the Physics department pursuing certificates in Applications of Computing and Statistics & Machine Learning. His research interests primarily include the intersections between physics, computation, and data analytics. For his fall junior research project, he worked under the guidance of Dr. Riddhi Bandyopadhyay and Professor David McComas studying the effects of kinetic microinstabilities on proton temperature anisotropy in the magnetosheath of Jupiter. For his Senior Thesis, he worked with Dr. Jamey Szalay on analyzing water-group ions in Jupiter's magnetosphere from Europa.
Junior Project: JADE Observations of Beta-Dependant Contraints on Ion Temperature Anisotropy in the Magnetosheath of Jupiter
Senior Thesis: JADE Observations of the Water Group Gas Torus in the Proximity of Europa
