Mariel Shapiro is a second year studying Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Dance. Her primary interest is optical technology and its applications to space instrumentation. She has previously worked at the MIT Space Nanotechnology Lab, aiding in process optimization for high-performance X-ray diffraction grating fabrication.
