Bio/Description
Shannon is a second-year undergraduate in the Department of Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University. Her primary interests lie in developing space science instrumentation and systems engineering. In the summer of 2022, she worked as an undergraduate research assistant to Bill Jones in the Princeton Physics Department. She designed and built flight components and participated in calibration and integration for the SPIDER balloon telescope, which will map the polarization patterns of the cosmic microwave background. Shannon looks forward to working with the Space Physics Group this year, focusing on optimizing the absolute beam monitor.
