Xander Jenkin is an undergraduate in the Astrophysics department at Princeton University seeking a minor in Applied and Computational Mathematics. He is interested in data analysis, cosmology, the CMB, optics, and computer simulations, but is open to doing any and all kinds of research related to astrophysics. On campus, he is a fellow in Princeton SIFP, the mentorship program for first-generation/low-income students. During the summer of 2022, he worked with Dr. Romain Teyssier researching computational fluid dynamics simulations with code written in Fortran, and in the fall of 2022 he will be working with Dr. Arun Kannawadi doing data analysis while researching observational cosmology. In his free time, he likes to play video games and build computers.
